Hello,

Pain in the belly button radiating to the vagina and rectum may be indicative of proctalgia fugax or UTI. Sometimes, manifestation of such symptoms also takes place when the appendix is inflamed and infected. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP, get Urinalysis (R/E & C/S), Blood tests and imaging tests done so that the pathology causing you discomfort can be detected.

You will be treated according to the severity of your symptoms. Avoid addictions if any. Drink plenty of water. In the meantime, for relief you can take antacids, antispasmodics and PPIs, one SOS when needed. To ease pain in the rectum, you can apply Glyceryl Trinitrate cream. Take adequate rest, do not take unnecessary exertion.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
