Suggest Treatment For Inter And Outer Pterygium In Right Eye Other Than Surgery
Good afternoon, my name is Tony I am in the US Army and was deployed to Saudi Arabia back in 90-91 I developed a inter and outer pterygium in both eyes for approx. 15 years did not effect my vision in 2010 March driving home I could not see a stop sign went to doctor they sent me to Optomoligist had surgery in my right eye using the glue method in May 2010 my left eye a re-touching up on my right eye the glue came a part in a few area where he placed stiches in. right eye Dec 2011 I had to had surgery number 2 regrowth after one month right eye In May 2011 I Had to have surgery again then in again Right eye in Dec 2011 then again in Jun 2012 in Aug 2012 in Left eye last surgery was June 2013 I just seen my Optomoligist last month I need another surgery in right eye? Is there any other procedure to prevent so many surgery's?
Pterigium isa denerative tissue nasalside towards pupil. there is nomedicine toprevent it. Iwill not give any problem till it covers pupilar area obstructing vision. When it covers pupil ,it isto be removed surgicaly by fine lamelar section. Recurance is very common. There isno alternative method available to avoid surgery.
