Hi.

Noted your short query for your son, he had tonsillitis, treated with antibiotics, now developed coughing for 3-4 days, has to go for corrective surgery for squint eye in 3 days, wants to know whether he will be okay under general anesthesia.
Coughing has direct relation with eyes as coughing increase eye pressure.
Secondly, coughing itself is a contraindication for general anesthesia.
Hence the Eye Surgeon and the Anesthetist will not allow for surgery and anesthesia.
Get him fully investigated and treated till complete recovery and then only to consider for any anesthesia/surgery.
Avoid complications for a planned surgery.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
