Suggest Treatment For Bloating And Frequent Urination While On Mirena

I have recently replace the mirena. It was far more painful than the first time. About a week ago I was confused and disoriented. I am exhausted even with full nights rest. I am gaining weight, urinating more frequently and appetite is up. Tested negative for pregnancy. Tonight check for my strings which at first I couldn t find but then did after noticing where they usually are is a large round feeling tender lump. Behind it was the strings. I look bloated and shaped like second trimester now. So lost on what to do.

Hi,

Bloating and abdominal discomfort can happen with hormonal IUD like mirena. It is due to the action of estrogen and it will settle by itself in couple of weeks.
You can take antacids like Pantoprazole or Omeprazole for symptomatic relief. If symptoms are persistent, you can consult a gynaecologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query.
