Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Yes, in case of pharyngitis or gingivitis pain may refer to ear. It may be seen in few patients. But direct pathology in the middle ear may cause pain.

Use anti histamine and decongestant along with warm water intake. Avoid cool water and ice creams. If symptoms not improved please consult your physician / ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
