Hello,

People suffering from epilepsy have more chances of suffering from headache as well. Headache in people who have a history of epilepsy should be treated urgently as it is complex and may trigger complications if neglected. Avoid stress, as stress (physical or emotional) can add to headaches, tension headaches or migraine. It can trigger symptoms of epilepsy.

Since you have history of epilepsy, you are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP. Get blood and imaging tests done. Your treatment will depend on your symptoms. The medicines for epilepsy will control headache. To get relieve from headache you will be treated with triptans.

In the meantime, take adequate water and fluids, do not stay dehydrated. Dehydration triggers headache. Take food in time, do not skip meals. Hypoglycemia and sodium-potassium depletion in the electrolyte system of the body also triggers headache.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
