Suggest Remedy For Cough

Hi,My 3 yr old son is having bad cough since last 5 hrs continuous. He was having cough since last two days but only at nights,today Doctor has suggested Antibiotic called Monocef. I have just with it today.What can help to give some immediate relef from cough...tried Honeytus..Ascoryl D etc.

welcome to hcm,
short answer: you have to continue the medications as per recommendations
detailed answer: your 3 year old son has cough which was not suppressed by giving cough syrup.
there may be some lung infection in him and he may need antibiotics for 3-5 days depending upon its severity
your pediatrician would have examined him and must have auscultated him before giving this antibiotic.
this antibiotic is a good one and it will control his cough.
but if he was my patient i will surely add an antihistamine also with antibiotics and cough syrups.
