Suggest Reasons For Fever And Dosage Of Calpol
2.5 yrs child is having high fever for 3 days continuously..immunization as per schedule..10 days before pda device closure done..now running fever b/w 100 f to 104 f..advent given..but no use..can we give meftal p or calpol 250 mg..dosage? ..diagonsis?

Fever persisting for 3 days needs early evaluation to find out the site and type of infection and treatment with appropriate antibiotics rather trying with antipyretic alone.with the given history of recent PDA closure,this is especially important. Kindly get back to your doctor as soon as possible. Meanwhile, you can give paracetamol 15mg/kg thrice a day for temporary relief.
