Suggest Medication To Get Lower High Blood Pressure

My blood pressure is 144 over 83. I'm on Norvasc, and it had been running in the 138 over 75+/-. I recently lost my job, and my blood pressure went sky high. Earlier this week, it was 186/115!
I'm having a hard time getting it down to the under 140/under 80 figure, with Norvasc. Do I need another medication? Or should I just wait a bit with the job situation gets resolved?

Hello,

Since your blood pressure is high you need to be on higher medicine. You can increase Norvasc dose to 10 mg. Also, have low salt diet and do regular exercises. Keep monitoring your blood pressure and if the need decreases, then dose can be lowered. Also try some relaxation techniques like yoga, deep breathing exercises.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
