If there is a more worsening of condition and its causing redness and irritation , you should visit your eye doctor , who should prescribe you with lubricating eye drops and may prescribe you with a short course of steroid and vasoconstrictor eye drops .The other remedy is surgery only in cases if that reddish membrane has started covering the cornea and interfering with vision .
