Suffering From PCOS. Prescribed Krimson 35, Stopped After Realizing Overshot. Started Having Irregular Periods. Worried
Hello doctor, I am 21,have been suffering from PCOS for 4 years. Dr. put me on Krimson 35 and by mistake I had 28 tablets. I stopped as soon as I realised I overshot. After a week I got my periods for 4 days..and again after a week after that I got my periods for about a week. I have had no intercours in my life. Now I am off my schedule by 45 days and I am.beginning to get worried.
PCOS is associated with irregular or delayed periods. So your irregular cycle is one of the expected symptoms of PCOS. PCOS is diagnosed when at least 2 of the following is present: (1) signs or symptoms of excess androgens (male hormones)- acne, abnormal hair growth (2)irregular or delayed period (3)cysts on the ovaries seen on ultrasound
Krimson 35 is a form of contraception that would help to block the androgens. To help further with regularising the period you may want to consider weight loss if there is any excess weight and the use of metformin.
I hope this helps
