Sudden, Sharp, On And Off Pain In Left Side Of Head, Sensitive To Touch Area. Taken Advil, Consuming More Water. Suggest
yesterday i experienced sudden sharp pain on the left side of my head .. it lasted for about 30-60 seconds. afterwards, the area was sensitive to the touch. i thought i was dehydrated so drank a lot of water. now, at 3:00 am, i am awakened by the same pain in the same place. it comes and goes. i took two advil and drank more water. it seems to be getting better but i am concerned because it is still sensitive to the touch.
hi thank you for the query madam, your complaint seems to be of a trivial headache ,which is relieved by tab advil and lots of water, what is more concerning is left side of your head sensitive to touch, possibilities with such presentation could be a migraine or trigeminal neuralgia...but that doesn't fit into migraine or trigeminal neuralgia , as it does not have typical presentation...I suggest you to see a neurologist to rule out the above mentioned pathologies... thank you hpe I have answered your query regards DR.Alekhya
