Sudden Onset On Dark Purple Bruises On Inner Elbows, Faded With Time. Any Thoughts To The Cause?

I woke up with 2 small (about the size of a pea) bruises on the inner elbows of each arm . I do not recall doing anything that would have caused this (carrying something or pinching. They are both on almost the identical spot on each arm. They are dark purple in color, but seem to be getting lighter as the morning goes on. Any thoughts to a cause?
