Spotting And Tissue Discharge After Periods. Taking Gynae. Function Of Medicine?

I am 38 yrs old, and since the last few months, after the first 4 days of my monthly period, have been experiencing mild spotting and tissue discharge which last for atleast another 5 days. Physically this does not cause me any discomfort.

I have been prescribed Gynae CVP for 20 days by my family doc. One capsule a day.

Kindly advise what this medication exactly does and also the side effects.

Gynae CVP is a nutritional supplement containing vitamin C and is usually prescribed in menstrual disturbances to arrest abnormal spotting. There are no known side effects, but , one can experience them as related to any of its components like iron or calcium. As you have this complaint of spotting for some time now, you should get any infection excluded and also any hormonal disturbance. Please maintain a healthy weight, genital hygiene and eat well.
