Sores On The Side Of Penis, Tender And Red Surrounding Area, Sexually Active. STD Sign?
I have 2 very small...sores I guess would be the best explanation on the side of my penis with holes in them, kind of like the 2 smallest volcanoes in the world would be the best description. The area is red and tender. My current girlfriend is the only sexual partner that I have had since we became sexually active in February, I would think if it were a type of STD then there would have been signs prior to now.
Hi there luv-my-stang67. Your description fits a condition called molluscum contagiosum which can be both sexually or non-sexually transmitted but is an infection none-the-less. Please visit a doctor or upload photographs for a clearer picture. It is also secondarily infected going by your description that will respond to an antibiotic & anti-inflammatory agents. This requires a prescrption & again, visit your dermatologist please. There are many types of STD's including infections that can be sexually or non-sexually transmitted & they all have varying incubation periods & as such, one cannot pin-point a time frame for these occurences. Please make sure to get your partner checked & treated. Regds & best wishes. Dr Praveen Rodrigues MD Dermatologist, Cosmetologist & Venereologist, Bangalore, India
