Sore, Red, Swollen Outer Ear. Tenderness In Inner Ear. Suggestions?
As I don t have any insurance, I am so very grateful to you for any help! I woke up this morning with an extremely sore, red and swollen outer ear - not the lobe but the upper area, back and front. The inner ear is not sore but tender assumably because of the swelling . My husband says he can see what looks like two tiny puncture marks, however, not 100% sure. Please help me and thank you so very much in advance. Jill

It seems that you might be having infection in your outer ear called Otitis externa.
Consult your doctor.
With one course of antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicine you will be alright.
