Sonography During Pregnancy Shows Crumpled Fetal Pole, Cardiac Activity Absent. What To Do?
hi my wife is pregenent (8 weeks and 2 days) and today we had done sonography and her reports statement are as follows. 1) Crumpled fetal pole seen. Fetal cardiac activity absent. GS Measure 21.00mm= 6 WEEKS AND 4 DAYS CRL 5mm indicates 6 weeks 2 days 2) Gravid uterus shows single slightly irregular, small intrauterine gestational sac with poor dicedual reaction. pls guide what to do?
THIS IS BECAUSE FEATURES LIKE CRUMPLED FETAL POLE, ABSENT HEART BEAT (CARDIAC ACTIVITY) ANS GESTATIONAL SAC SMALLER THAN PERIOD OF PREGNANCY (6WEEKS) SUGGESTS THAT YOU MIGHT HAVE A RISK OF MISCARRIAGE.
MOSTLY WORKING HEART IS SEEN BY 8 WEEKS PROVIDED YOUR WIFE CORRECTLY REMEMBERS HER LAST MENSES DATE.
BUT STILL YOU CAN WAIT FOR A WEEK OR TWO AND GET A REPEAT ULTRASOUND.
IN THE MEAN TIME EITHER A POSITIVE SIGN CAN BE SEEN IN YOUR NEXT ULTRASOUND OR YOU MAY ABORT WITH BLEEDING AND PAIN.
HI,Thanks for your query.
Your usg reports shows sign of missed abortion.
for 8wks of pregnancy there is an foetal pole with cardiac activity.here sac is irregular with absent cardiac activity.
consult your gynaecologist.they will do surgical evacuation for missed abortion.Take care.

Sonography During Pregnancy Shows Crumpled Fetal Pole, Cardiac Activity Absent. What To Do?
HELLO TEHRE. CONSIDERING YOUR GESTATIONAL AGE OF 8 WEEKS, THE ULTRASOUND FINDINGS ARE NOT GOOD. YOU CAN STILL WAIT FOR THE EXPECTED CHANGES. TAKE CARE.
