Sharp Pain Between Shoulder And Elbow When Moving Left Arm. Sore Arm Due To Fall And Landing On Arm And Shoulder. Injury?
I fell off my dirt bike yesterday while riding I landed on my left arm and shoulder. Arm was next to my body. Immediately after my upper arm hurt. I got dizzy for a few minutes after the fall. I have no bruising or very little. When I try to move my left arm I get a sharp pain between my shoulder and elbow. It is very sore to touch. Very uncomfortable to move any way. Would this be muscle or bone injury
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM. In case of a fracture, you can seen swelling and "abnormal mobility" of the bone at the site of pain. Only pain & soreness could be due to muscle contusion. You need an xray to rule out a fracture and a MRI scan to diagnose a soft tissue injury (like muscles, tendons, ligaments etc) Consult an orthosurgeon and follow his advice. Hope this helps

General & Family Physician, Dr. Raghuram's Response
Hi ! It appears from your history that you might have fractured one of your arm bones. I would advise you to undergo an X-RAY of your left shoulder and arm to rule out a fracture.
