Reduced Vision, Lights Appearing Like Tiny Connecting Circles, Difficulty Gauging Distance Of Object. Is This Normal?

My nighttime vision has deteriorated in the last year, making it difficult to navigate. On darker roads, I lose track of where the road is. The traffic lights, headlights, and taillights appear to have many tiny connecting circles which form the shape of a circle, and the center is hollow. (like a black hole) Daytime driving is beginning to be bothersome, also. If road workers have a sign saying SLOW or STOP, I cannot see which it is until about 20 feet away. The sun glare is also a problem for me. I where readers (250's) but no Rx glasses. Also, if I see a traffic light ahead, it is either further or closer than I perceived. I am 54. Is this typical aging eye problems, or could this be something else? Thanks,

Hello,
I reviewed the history, it seems from the history that you are having glare and diminished night vision. Since your age is 54 years, all these symptoms indicate age related changes and most common being cataract.

The main treatment for cataract is surgery by removal of the cataractous lens and replacing it by intraocular lens.
Hence I advice you to consult eye doctor for examination, confirmation of diagnosis and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
