Recurring Itchy Rash And Welts On Stomach, Back, Hands And Feet. Prescribed Prendazone, Benadryl And Zantec. History Of Kidney Stones. Help

I HAVE DEVELOPED A RASH AND WELTS ON MY STOMACH, BACK. HANDS AND FEET. I WENT TO THE ERERGENCY ROOM FRIDAY NIGHT, THEY THOUGHT IT WAS SOMETHING I ATE AND PERSCRIBED, PRENDAZONE & BENADRYL AND ZANTEC. I MENTIONED THAT I HAVE BEEN HAVING LOWER BACK PAINE LIKE FROM A KIDNEY STONE. I GET KIDNEY STONES FROM TIME YO TIME AND KNOW HOW IT FEELS. THIS RASH AND WELTS SEEM TO COME EVERY 6 TO 8 HOURS AND ITCH VERY BADLY. AFTER TAKING THE PRENDAZONE & BENADRYL AND ZANTEC THE GO AWAY IN AN HOUR.

Hi,

Thanks for writing here.

It seems you are having urticaria.

It can occur secondary to food allergies,infections,drug reaction.

Since you are having kidney stones you may have got urine infection and this may be a cause for rash.

Consulting a dermatologist is a better option.

I will also advise not to take prednazone without guidance of a dermatologist.You can continue with benadryl and zinetac.
