Recurring Group Of Blisters Between Thumb And Index Finger With Burning Sensation, Leaving Scars. Viral Infection?

Daughter has a recurring group of blisters in the same spot on the top of her hand between her thumb and index finger. It has occurred since she was around 7 years old (now 16). She says it burns more than itches. It eventually dries up but looks like the area is permanently scarred. Does this sound more like herpatic whitlow or a viral infection?

It is not herpetic whitlow or viral infection.
None of the viral infections are associated with scarring.

she might be suffering from a condition called as Epidermolysis bullosa.

Another possibility is an eczema called as Pompholyx, but this is not associated with scars.
