You should stick to a laxative regimen to achieve regular bowel movements

(also available in generic form). You should take it daily, or even twice daily. You can take it together with Colace to achieve better results, however Colace can make you bloated or gassy.
It is also a good idea to take probiotics. Multiple brands are available, and also many yogurts have probiotics included.
