Pregnant. Ultrascan Report Shows Irregularities In Sac. Irrgular Baby Heartbeat Of 88-97. Due For Scan Next Week. What Are The Chances Of Keeping The Baby?
Hi I am 6 weeks pregnant and went for my ultrascan today and doc said there are some irregularities spotted on my sac. We then found the baby heartbeat at 88-97 which doctor claimed was irregular and told me to come back one week later to do another scan and hope that the heartbeat is above 100 by then. Should I be very worried now? What are my chances of keeping this baby?
Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.
Given the two factors that you mentioned:
1. Irregularities involving the sac
2. A low fetal heart rate (normal at this time is about 100 +/- 10)
Then there is definitely concern about the well being of this pregnancy. While there is still a chance that everything could be normal, these might be the earliest signs of a miscarriage. I would remain 'cautiously hopeful'.
I hope that this helps. If you have more questions, please click on "ASK ME A QUESTION" link above to directly ask me a question!
