Persistent Low Grade Fever. IgG Positive. Caricef Advised. Recurring Pin Worm Infection. Are These Related?
I have been having persistent low grade fever for a month or so. My blood test showed IGg postive but IGm negative. i have been perscribed Caricef (cefixime) 400 mg, twice daily. It's been 9 days and so far my fever hasn't budged. However, i have also had pinworm infection since childhood, and it always recurrs. I was wondering if it's not typhoid but chronic pinworm infection that has caused IGg to become positive. Thanks
Hi, You have been having persistent low grade fever, for a month. Cefixim 400mg twice daily didn't cure. Fever is symptom seen in different diseases like flu, pneumonia, typhoid, malaria, t.b,and so many. Complete blood tests, and hospitalization and taking temp recording may be necessory. So i advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis. Thank you.
