I came down with a sore throat this past friday and the next day had very strong flu symptoms for the next two days, fever, bad muscle pain, fatigue, sore throat and pain when swallowing from swollen lymph glands under my jaw and what feels like there is a painful sensation in my ear, but not an ear infection, just a sensation when I swallow... I finally started feeling better today and then tonight the pain and swollen gland are on just one side..is there really anything that can be prescribed for a viral infection? If a flu caused the symptoms aren t the swollen lymph glands infected from that same viral infection and not from a bacteria?
