Pain In The Jaw And Teeth, Diagnosed Periodontal Disease, Now Suggested Bone Cancer. Misdiagnosed ?

my husband wad told to stop drinking because he has bone cancer by the dentist last week. He was told two years ago he had peridontal disease. Since that time, he has had pain in his jaw and his teeth have been slowly pulled out over the years when he went to a dentist because he couldn t bear the pain. Now all his teeth didn t have not one cavity. MY question is; was he misdiagnosed by the dentist years ago when all along it was jaw cancer?
