Pain From Knee To Groin, Difficulty Straightening Leg. Blood Clot?

I have had a couple of bouts with severe pain from my knee to my groin, on the inside of my leg, it first happened a few months ago, now last week and again last night, the paid is so bad it brings tears to my eyes, it just pulls my leg bending at the knee, I can not open it, it lasted about 10 min then the paid started to subside, to the point that I could at least straighten my leg out, which I couldn't do before. This is very scary I did mention to my orthopedic dr the other day he said it would be hard for him to tell unless he saw me when it was happening. I am afraid it is a blood clot or something. I have always thought I had a pretty high pain tolerance but now I am now sure. Do you have any ideas and suggestions.

Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having Sciatica pain.
This may be due to some degenerative changes occurring in your vertebral column.
Due to irritation or pressure you get this pain.
Go for x-ray lumbo-sacral region to find osteo-artheritis changes.
Consult orthopedic surgeon and discuss about this.
Ok and take care.
