Numbness In Tip Of Fingers, Swollen Hand, Redness, Sensitive To Warm Water. Post Carpal Tunnel Surgery. Suggestions?

post carpal tunnel release about 7 weeks ago.. since surgery i am experiencing consistent numbness in tip of fingers my Dr states that he is NOT concern about the numbness because it will go away. However, just this past saturday I woke up with not only numbness but swollen hand and red finngertip on my indexfinger and all other fingers following index finger, along with extreme sensitivity to warm water.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi,

After an operation, it is common to experience numbness and tingling in the hand for eight to ten hours or longer. A prescription for a pain reliever will be given to you after the surgery, Although frequently only one or two pills will be necessary. The most important aspect of pain relief after hand surgery is strict elevation of the hand.

I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
