Need Advice On The Function And Side Effect Of Sulpitac 50
My daughter is schiezophrenic patient from last 12 years. She is taking following medication:
Tab. Clozpin 150 mg BD
Tab. Ativan 1 mg BD
Now she has been advised to take Tab. Sulpitac 50 mg BD. Kindly advice what is the function and side effect of theis medicine.

Sulpitac contains amisulpiride and it is atypical antipsychotic. It helps to control negative symptoms of schizophrenia. May be due to long duration of illness, your daughter has some negative symptoms and due to which, doctor has prescribed the drug. It has few side effects like anxiety symptoms, weight gain, menses disturbance or breast tenderness etc. In case, you need further help, you can ask.
