my 82 year old mom fell and cracked her skull yesterday, stapled and stiched what should I watch for ? I want to make sure I m aware of any problems that might arise from a fall in which the head was injured. There was a lot of bleeding but she seemed fine 5 hours later. But she s 82. What should I look for ?

Look for the signs of significant head injury in the first 24 hours, which includes vomiting, blurring of vision, headache, confusion, convulsions etc. She needs an X ray to rule out skull fractures. She will need a CT scan if above symptoms are present.
