Movement On Right Side Of Stomach During Menstrual Periods, Occurs After Eating. IUD Inserted. Stomach Virus?
I am 48 years old and have recently felt and can see movemnt on the right side of my stomache, during menstral period. I have a IUD inserted due to heavy menstral cycles in the past. Should I see a doctor asap. I do not think that I am pregnant as I have had regular periods. The movemnts usually start after I have eaten a meal. Could I have a parasite in my bowels?
The gastric motion is a normal phenomenon which take place in the stomach. The intestine is normally have vertical and horizontal muscular contrations to mix and propel the food further.
Normally this movement of intestine is not perceived by anyone, except few times when there is some sort of irritation in the intestine in form of infection or inflammation.
In your case when you have heavy meals than this may cause increase motility which you may perceive, but its relation to periods is not understandable. You can consult your doctors to have a proper examination and if required investigation to fina out if anything significant is there.
Thanks and take care
