Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have chronic lyme. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, 3 months ago--I liked the Levothyroxine-but hated the dry/brittle hair effects-I stopped it. The doctor said it was okay-I am looking into Iodine supplements like Actalin, and Iodine Plus 2 with Selenium and Riboflavin. Thoughts?
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. As you describe, the supplements may not help, for relief. For thinning of hair, You can use other supplements like anti oxidants, B complex etc. If the cause is levothyroxine, you can use the thyroxine. may use in less dose. Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and protein rich foods. wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
