Lovir 800 Mg For Chicken Pox In 20 Weeks Pregnancy. Safe?

I am 20 week pregnant . I got chicken pox infection since 3 days . Dr. prescribed me antiviral tablets . Lovir 800 mg ( 1-1-1-1-1) for 7 days . Is it safe to take tis tablet tis time or i can stay without tablets & it will go automatically gradually. Please Advice................. thanks Regards

Hello.Welcome to HCM forum.Normally this drug is well tolerated although headache nausea,malaise and some CNS effects like tremors,lethargy,disorientation are reported.No teratogenic potential has been noted and so can be given in pregnancy.Thanks and good luck.
