Loose Stool, Taking Pill, Skipped Periods For A Few Months To Limit Tampon Use, Cervicitis Healed

Hi, I've just got what feels like a normal period. At first I thought it may be spotting as it wasn't as heavy but I've just noticed it is heavy like the start of a period. I also had loose stool (which I often get at the start of my period). I'm on the pill and have been taking it fairly regularly (maybe 1 or 2 hr late) however I'm on the 3rd packet in a row as my Doctor had asked me to skip my period for a few months to limit tampon use whilst my cervicitis healed, so it's been about 10 weeks since my last period. Should I continue to take the pill or just stop for the 7 days and have a period?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Now that a brownish bleeding has started, it is likely to increase to a full blown period in next few days. It is best to stop taking the pills for 7 days and have a proper period and then resume taking the pills. Your cervicitis would have healed by now.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
