Large Fibroid Growing, Removal Of This With The Womb Suggested. Will Age Increase Faster As No Womb?

i have a large size fibroid measuring abt 9.2cm x 8cm, my gynae suggest that i have to remove the fibroid as it is growing and at the same time he will remove my womb together. Is it truth that after i remove the womb (ovaries remain intact) i need to consume hormone pills? Will i age faster without the womb as i will not have any more menstruation or whatever?

I am Dr Nilajkumar a consultant gynecologist and I will be helping you in your queries.
Please do not worry. As the ovaries are being left behind, they are the source of hormones and not the uterus. They continue to function even after removing the uterus. The only function of the uterus is child bearing. So if your family has been completed then removing it will have no effect on the age.

Go ahead and get operated there is no need for hormone pills.
