Is There Any Possibility Of Lesion Transforming To Malignancy?
On ULTRASOUND breast, the report revealed 1.4 cm fibroadenoma like lesion, but either I or the doctor is not able to palpate the mass, Sometimes pain persists. The physician suggested for follow up after 6 months. Do I have to wait? Is there any possibility of transforming to malignancy? The physician prescribed Primosa tablets for 2 months. I am 37 years old and have 1 girl child and I have breast fed her for 3 years.

If ultrasound confirms fibroadenoma then most likely you need not worry. However a second ultrasound after 6 months is a must and any change will be known. Though its unlikely to get malignant, you must be aware of your condition and follow up with your doctor closely.
