Hi,
If you have had only a delayed period, you are in the safe period and chances of conception are nil. So, there is no need of any emergency contraception. Please remember, emergency contraception should be reserved only for the real emergencies, that too, only for a couple of times in a year. Too frequent use disturbs the normal hormonal balance of the body resulting in absence of periods or irregular cycles and pregnancy complications or infertility in the future. Pregnancy following failure of these pills, though very rare, is bound with increased risk of birth defects. Hope this helps.
