Is Spotting Normal After Undergoing Surgery For Uterine Cancer?

52 years old. 5 ft. My doctor wanted to do a biopsy of my uterus because I had one day of spotting 5 months ago (I have had menopause already) and My uterus was 4.2 and he said anything over 4 thick they wanted to check ( my sister just had surgery for uterine cancer.) I have never had any problems at all . when he tried to do the biospy in the office he said my cervix was too tight and he couldnt get the insturment in. So now he wants me to have a d and c and the scope. Im not in favor of this at all. What can be done for a tight cevix and is there any other way to do this biospy without the whole surgical procedure.

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have post menopausal bleeding. And thick endometrium. You should go for either endometrial biopsy or D & C procedure. It will give you exact cause whether you have endometrial hyperplasia or cancer or some other cause. Then you should take treatment accordingly. Consult your doctor and plan accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
