Is Oral Thrush Dangerous?

I am a 37y/o Male.I am suffering with some throat problems and i consult an ENT doctor. Asper his advise I take USG of neckand found that enlarged lymph nodes noted in the right Parotid Gland.Otherwise normal study. The Doctor Prescribe some Antibiotics (Amoxycillin and Dicloxacillin Capsules) for five days. After that I felt the size of swelling decreased. I do not have a sore throat, although it does feel like there is something pushing on my neck. Both of my tonsils look fine and nothing else feels wrong. Oral Thrush is found in my mouth and is treated. IS THIS DANGEROUS

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain Oral Thrush in mouth can be due to intake of antibiotics as you are taking it for swollen lymph nodes and swollen lymph nodes can be probably be due to infection in head and neck region or in Parotid gland if it is found adjacent to the gland..
As the swelling is reduced by taking antibiotics it is a good sign as the infection seems to be resolving..
Oral Thrush is a fungal infection caused by Candida Albicans fungi and in your case seems to be secondary to antibiotic intake and does not seems to be anything dangerous..
It can be very well resolved with antifungal medication like Nystatin mouthwash, antifungal lozenges and taking more of probiotics like Yoghurt and garlic and drink plenty of water..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
