Getting Spot Like Acne On Chin, Happens After Shaving. Treatment?
Hi. I have never really had acne in my life. But over the last few months I have suddenly began to get lots of spots on my chin. It happens after a I shave, but it's not just shaving rash, it's huge white heads all grouping up together forming a red rashy area. Only on my jawline. If I grow the beard for 3/4 days it will cover it all up, which is fine. But I'd rather shave than have a beard. It is only in that area. Thankfully. Any thoughts/advice?

Hi i think the rash u are experiencing is sycosis barbae.it is a bacterial especially staphylococcal infection effecting beard area.it presents as erythematous papules all over beard area which is itchy.advice the patient not to shave instead trim the hair.uuse of doxycyline 100 mg twice daily and application of mupirocin ointment cures it

Your history and clinical picture are suggestive of 'Recurrent Folliculitis'.
1. Mupirocin ointment twice a day for 5-7 days whenever the bumps come. If there is no improvement within 3 days of this then you will require a 5 days course of an oral antibiotic like Dicloxacillin 500 mg three times a day.
2. Dial Antibacterial liquid soap for bathing. Continue this even when asymptomatic.
3. Use Disposable Shaving blade
