Is It Too Early At 6w1d To Determine Heartbeat Of Fetus?

Am 6 weeks 1day and there is no heart beat.the doctor gave me duphaston once aday and folic acid 5mg a day too for two weeks.i had slight bleeding or spotting.am supposed to go back after aweek for another ultrasound to see if there will be aheartbeat because it was early to to determine at that time.

Hi. Usually heart beat can be detected at 6 weeks. May be the growth of foetus is less than your period of amenorrhoea. So you please follow your dr.'s instructions and do go for a repeat scan to confirm the heart beat.
