Is It Normal To Pass Dark Blood Clots, Diarrhoea After Taking Depo Shot?
I just had my 6 deposit shot.I m bleeding dark blood clots its been going on for 3 weeks now.this morning I woke up in real bad pain real sick.having diarrhea all day and the is real watery like I m urinating. Is this normal cause I feel real bad could it be cancer?
Depo provera can present with few side effects like intermenstrual spotting, pain abdomen, etc. But usually these symptoms will subside in the first few months. As you are taking the 6th shot of Depo provera, the possibility of side effects is usually less. But cannot be completely excluded.
Passing of blood clots and diarrhea are mentioned as though rare but potential side effects of Depo provera. So, better to consult your gynecologist once, get examined and start symptomatic therapy to control the diarrhea and bleeding as early as possible. Intravenous fluid replacement and probiotics can help in decreasing the diarrhea. Whereas antifibrinolytic drugs help in treating blood clots. Please discuss these things with your doctor and proceed accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
