Is It Normal To Feel Pain Post Vaginal Hysterectomy?

I had a vaginal hysterectomy on April 21. Also had cystocele and rectocele repair. I felt pretty good for about 2 weeks, post op, but for the last week have had a lot of pain and nausea. The pain each day is usually worse by noon. Is this normal?

Hello,
You did not mention where exactly you feel the pain and if it is associated with any other relevant feature like sexual intercourse or food intake or passing motion or urine. If it is unrelated to any of the above mentioned, it could likely be due to some gastric disturbance relieved with simple medication. Pain at the vault so long after the surgery is rare; sometimes vault induration takes longer to heal and this can cause some discomfort and nausea could become an associated feature. Please see a specialist for a proper evaluation and further management. Wish you good health.
