Hi, Not all dog bites require anti-rabies vaccine
. If your dog has been adequately vaccinated for rabies, and the scratch has been inadvertent while playing, and the dog appears otherwise to be in good mood and well, I do not think you need to panic. taking a shot of Tetanus Toxoid
would certainly help.
Rabies vaccine is indicated if it is a stray dog bite or one which has been unprovoked from a dog who seems to be unwell, and has not been given the rabies vaccines.
If the dog remains alive and well for 2 weeks, as most healthy cheerful pets would, you need not worry. GC
