Hello and welcome,

You may take duvadilon retard and there is no need to worry about contraction failing during labor.

A normal pregnancy must reach at least 37 weeks for the baby to be completely developed. If the contractions are starting at 32 weeks, there may be a delivery before 32 weeks called preterm delivery. In this case the baby will have a low birth weight and may not be able to breath properly as the lungs are not yet developed. Duvadilon helps to relieve this pain and so prevents preterm delivery. It is usually prescribed till 36-37 weeks and then stopped as the baby can safely deliver after that.

So do not worry. The drug gets out of the system very fast and so there are no issues related to labor pains.

Hope this satisfies your query.
