Is Fever, Cramps, Nausea, Polyuria, Spotting, Abdomen And Breast Pain A Pregnancy?

My last period started May 22nd. I had sex June 3rd. Sunday I started getting a fever and cramps and My period isn't due until next week and I'm never irregular and this was too early for PMS. Sunday I started getting nauseous and I had a low grade fever and throughout the day I gradually had to go to the restroom to urinate more and more. I have a tendency to masturbate and I noticed that I had some blood I'm not sure if that meant I was spotting or not..I also had a brown discharge as well. Monday I literally had to go to the restroom to urinate every 15 minutes or at least I had the urge to urinate. I didn't. Instead I had very bad pain in my lower abdomen when I tried to force it out and occasionally blood that appeared to be in the urine and there was also blood when I wiped. The pain in my lower abdomen was so unbearable that I couldn't move, walk, and sitting was painful. I don't know if I"m pregnant or what. My mom thinks I may have gotten an STD. It could be UTI but I never had that before and I don't have all the symptoms for it. I"m seriously thinking I'm pregnant and I don't know when to take a pregnancy test and I"m very impatient cause I want to know now. I've had other pregnancy symptoms as well like my breasts hurt slightly they're not tender or terribly sore but they hurt when I touch them. Fatigue. Nausea. Not to mention when I get nautious and hungry at the same time...I'll say I wanna throw up and try to eat banana peppers and icecream at the same time!! I don't know what's going on!! Please help. Its too early for any pregnancy symptoms isn't it???? I'm like sobbing at the moment...

Hi there,
After going through your question, I am of the opinion that:
1) The symptoms that you have point more towards a urinary tract infection. The fever, nausea, blood in urine, abdominal pain, frequent urination are all symptoms of urine infection. I think you should get your urine tested for infection.
2) It is too soon to comment on whether you are pregnant. You either need to wait for your periods to get missed and then get a urine pregnancy test done after 2 or 3 days of missed period.
3) If you are impatient, you can get a blood test called serum beta HCG which can give results by 3 to 4 weeks of pregnancy, ie a week before missed periods.
4) It seems like you are having hormonal imbalance due to either pre-menstrual syndrome(PMS) or pregnancy. I think you should just relax.
5) Cramps, polyuria, breast tenderness, spotting could be signs of pregnancy.

I hope this was helpful.

Dr. Shikha Shah
