Is A Pus-filled, Itchy Growth In Labia A Skin Tag Or Wart?

Went to Dr. Today have a growth on a stalk like base on my labia. Dr would not remove wants me to go to specialist. Thinks its a skin tag or wart. I am a 49 year old married for 30 years how could this be a wart? It is sometimes itchy and pus filled. I thought it was ingrown hair. How will something like this be removed?

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The pus filled itchy growth is more likely to be due to a blocked infected gland or a hair follicle rather than a wart. It can be an infected wart also. A direct examination is an integral part of diagnosis in such cases.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
