Is TIFFA Test And CFT Test Necessary In Pregnancy?
MY WIFE RECENTALY HAVE 24 WEEK PREGNANT ,DOCTOR SUGGESTED TO ME TIFFA TEST , MY LAST BABY DIED IN 42 DAYS IN MAY 2010 SUSPECTED CYTOMEGALO VIRUS BUT AFTER TEST IN LAB THEIR BLOOD NOT FOUND CMV PARAMETERS GIVEN RANGE, RAINBOW HOSPITAL SPECIALISTS ARE NOT DIAGNOSIS THIER PROBLEMS ALSO CFT TEST DONE, I WANT TO KNOWN IS CFT TEST IS ESSENTIAL FOR 42 DAYS BABY BEFORE DIED ONE DAY ,

YES SHE SHOULD DO TIFFA SCAN BECAUSE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT SCAN DURING PREGNANCY ALMOST AS YOUR LAST BABY HAVE DIED .
TIFFA SCAN is primarily used to assess fetal anatomy and detect the presence of any fetal anomalies.
While CFT test ( complement fixation test) is an immunological medical test that can be used to detect the presence of either specific antibody or specific antigen in a patient's serum. It was widely used to diagnose infections, particularly with microbes that are not easily detected by culture methods.
Hence if they suspected for CMV infection ,they should do CFT test .
