Can Withdrawal From Valtrex Cause Thumb Nail Damage?
I have the herpes simplex virus, which usually presents in a cold sore on my lip. I take Valtrex to avoid outbreaks, but recently had a problem with my thumb nail. I am 48, 170 lb female. My nail seems damaged, but looked worse when I stopped taking the Valtrex for a few weeks. Can my herpes be presenting in my thumb nail due to some unknown trauma my nail encountered?
