What Causes Dizziness?
Hello. On January 17th I was prescribed Valacyclovir for shingles. The next day (18th) I noticed some dizziness, but didn t attribute it to anything. The dizziness persisted, bad at first waking up and getting worse in the afternoons and evenings. It wasn t unitl the 21st that I noticed this medication May Cause Dizziness. On the 22nd I did not take the afternoon or evening dose. I emailed my doctor (23rd) who suggested I no longer take the med. The problem is here it is January 27th and I m still having dizziness 5 days after ceasing the meds. Suggestions?

It needs time for these adverse effects of valacyclovir to regress, in the other hand, shingles may contribute to dizziness. You should stay well hydrated, and follow a healthy lifestyle. Vitamin B supplements also may help.
